Our approach

We have developed unique online teaching approaches that prepare you for work in a law firm. Our successful approach to producing practice-ready lawyers is based on ‘learning by doing’ through simulated legal scenarios, where you will ‘interview’ clients, practice negotiation and advocacy and provide written advice. You will establish face-to-face relationships with other students and staff during the Becoming a Practitioner introductory workshop, and will carry over those connections during the online components of the training.

Led by some of the best legal experts in Australia, ANU School of Legal Practice has created a supportive and nurturing environment in which you can thrive. Our teaching staff are always accessible and work closely with you to ensure you successfully complete your studies. You will, for example, be assigned a mentor during the Professional Practice Core of your training.
