Fees & how to apply

First Semester 2019 commencement – Postgraduate International
Due to high demand for our programs, applications direct to ANU for commencement in First Semester 2019 (February intake) are now closed.
How to apply
To apply for the ANU Master of Legal Practice, both international and domestic students can apply via ANU Apply online.
An 'Apply' button can also be found in the top right corner of the MLP program page in the Programs and courses website.
Start dates
We take applications throughout the year and you can commence study any time throughout the year, however you will need to submit your application at least 2 weeks before the starting date of your first course.
Cut off dates for enrolment in each course in the MLP program are available from:
- the specific BAP course page in this website (see the BAP course list and click on the relevant course)
- for all GDLP compulsory and elective courses - the GDLP course timetable
- for MLP courses - the MLP courses page
- or the specific program page on the ANU Programs and Courses website

Apply
When you apply to the MLP program you must supply one of the following (unless you are already an ANU student):
- a scanned colour original official transcript of your LLB or JD
- an original official transcript of your LLB or JD
- a scanned colour original Australian Higher Education Graduation Statement
- an original Australian Higher Education Graduation Statement
Once your application has been assessed, and you are deemed eligible, an offer will be provided to you via the email address you have provided in your application.
Accept
Domestic students
After you apply for the Master of Legal Practice you will be sent an offer to your nominated personal email address. You will need to follow the instructions in your offer in order to accept it, after which you will be sent your student ID and password details.
International students
International applicants must complete the Offer Acceptance Declaration form and return via email. Applicants are also required to pay a $10,000 deposit no later than two weeks prior to their start date.
Enrol
Once your Offer Acceptance form has been received by the ANU School of Legal Practice (and your deposit has been paid if you are an International student), you will receive Enrolment Instructions via email.
Prior to attending your Becoming A Practitioner course, you will need to enrol in your courses on ISIS. You will be unable to commence coursework until this process has been completed.
Financial assistance
FEE-HELP
Australian students (and permanent humanitarian visa holders and some New Zealand citizens) may be eligible to apply for FEE-HELP, the Australian Government loan scheme that assists students with paying their tuition fees.
